Ages 16 & 17 : May receive ear, facial, and navel piercings only. The child must be accompanied throughout the entire visit by their parent or legal guardian. Both parent and child must provide state-issued photo IDs with matching last names and addresses. If the last names do not match, we will also need to see an original copy (long form) of the child's birth certificate. If the addresses do not match, we CANNOT do the piercing unless the parent/guardian provides court-issued custody documents. If you are unsure of what documentation you may need to bring with you, please call the studio before visiting.
Ages 8 - 15 : May receive ear lobe piercings only. The child must be accompanied throughout the entire visit by their parent or legal guardian. ID requirements are the same as above. If you are unsure of what documentation you may need to bring with you, please call the studio before visiting. For very young children, we strongly suggest that you schedule an appointment during the week (NOT on Friday/Saturday), and early in the day. That is when the studio is less crowded and wait times are at a minimum, this makes the experience less stressful for everyone.
Children in the Studio
We understand that many of our clients may choose to visit us while enjoying a day out in downtown Columbia. For that reason, it's not uncommon for people to visit us with other family members, including children. You are more than welcome to bring your child in to the studio with you... however, since your child cannot accompany you into a piercing room, it is important that you bring another adult with you to supervise your child. We do not allow unattended minors in the studio at any time, and our staff will not be expected to supervise them. We appreciate your understanding.
For your safety, we will only pierce with, or install, jewelry that comes from our studio. With jewelry from an outside source, there is no way for us to verify that it is made of safe and appropriate materials... or that it hasn't been previously worn.
