Sarah Wooten - Owner/Piercer

Sarah has been a professional piercer in Columbia for more than two decades. She apprenticed and spent the early part of her career at Body Rites, Columbia’s first piercing-only establishment. She opened Immaculate in 2007.

Sarah has been a proud member of The Association of Professional Piercers since 1999. She served on the APP’s Conference Committee from 2008-2018, helping to plan the Association’s annual educational conference. Sarah was chosen by Elayne Angel to be the recipient of the 2013 APP President's Award in recognition of her commitment to the industry and the APP.

In addition to piercing full-time & being a studio owner, Sarah is the proud mother of one very awesome kid. Together, they are the caretakers of a menagerie of rescued cats and dogs. She also manages to sneak in a little time for painting and gardening.

Van Bass - Piercer Apprentice

Van joined the team at Immaculate in September 2022 as front counter staff/jewelry specialist. They are now excelling as a piercing apprentice under the mentorship of our head piercer, the esteemed Sarah Wooten! They take pride in creating a safe and positive experience for clients as they embark upon the exciting journey of body modification.

Their favorite part of the work is getting to see people's faces lit with the glow of confidence as they leave the studio adorned in beautiful new jewelry!

In their free time, Van enjoys nature walks, reading, and dabbling with different art mediums, as well as spending quality time with their fiancée and fur babies.
